The project The Nansen Legacy invites the international research community to the symposium “Towards a new Arctic Ocean – Past, Present, Future” in Tromsø (7-9 November 2023)

During this science conference the current understanding of the Arctic Ocean across disciplines and regions will be presented and discussed.

In the mornings there will be plenary sessions with invited key-note presentations, dedicated presentations on the use of science for societal needs, and panel discussions to stimulate interdisciplinary discussion and involve user perspectives.

During the afternoons, they will welcome the pan-Arctic research community across the natural science disciplines, and stakeholder representatives interested in knowledge status and future perspectives, to contribute to a vibrant symposium to build bridges across disciplines, regions, and from natural sciences to societal needs.
