Call for Session Abstracts European Geosciences Union General Assembly 2017

Organizers of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2017 session entitled, "Changes in the Arctic Ocean and Sea Ice System: Observations, Models, and Perspectives" announce a call for session abstracts. This session will convene during the EGU General Assembly 23-28 April 2017 in Vienna, Austria.

The EGU General Assembly 2017 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world and covering all disciplines of earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience.

The session will promote results from current Arctic programs and encourage discussions of future plans for Arctic Ocean modelling and measurement strategies.

Submissions for observation- and modelling-based studies related to past, present, and future states of the Arctic, on the mutual interaction between ocean, atmosphere and sea ice, and links to global processes are invited.

Financial support is available to assist early career scientists in attending the conference. Financial support includes a registration fee waiver and a refund of the abstract processing charge related to the abstract for which support is requested. Participants applying for financial support must be the contact author, as well as the first and presenting author of their contribution.

Travel support application deadline: Thursday, 1 December 2016.

Abstract submission deadline: 11 January 2017.

Early registration deadline: 16 March 2017.

Registration deadline: 28 April 2017.
