During the EPB's Spring 2021 Plenary Meeting, held online on the 8th and 9th of April, Marie-Noelle Houssais, Member Representative for CNRS, was elected to the Executive Committee. Marie-Noelle is a senior scientist at the Laboratory of Ocean and Climate (LOCEAN, CNRS-Sorbonne University Joint Unit), as well as the French representative to the Sustaining Arctic Observing Networks (SAON) Board, Scientific Delegate for Polar Affairs at the Institute of Earth Sciences (INSU-CNRS), and a Member of the CNRS Polar Committee.
Antonio Quesada, Member Representative for MCIN, stepped down from the EPB Executive Committee during the Spring 2021 Plenary Meeting, having complete two full terms following election at the Spring 2017 Plenary Meeting in Prague. The EPB thanks Antonio for dedicated service to the EPB during the past four years.
Marie-Noelle joins existing Executive Committee members Kirsi Latola (Chair, Thule Institute), Nicole Biebow (HGF), Peter Sköld (ARCUM) and Vito Vitale (CNR).
