This year’s Swiss Polar Day will take place on 15 September in Sion.
This event is the annual gathering of the Swiss polar science community and includes national and international keynotes, networking opportunities and updates on recent developments in polar research.
You can look forward to a rich and interactive day including keynotes on what makes an effective polar team and on how snow influences sea ice, as well as presentations of numerous Swiss polar and high-altitude projects. The event will also feature international collaboration opportunities with Japan and Canada and an open forum will allow those who wish to share the latest news about their projects and fieldwork. Ample time will be available for networking and catching up with colleagues and friends.
The detailed programme and practical details are available on the event webpage and the registration is open until 1st September.
